        "Türküler Sevdamiz" translated ‘our songs are our love’ is a tribute to the historically lived tradition of the ‘asik’. Asik's (minstrels, bards) have roamed Anatolia for hundreds of years, telling stories of love and pain in verses/poems that are performed as songs with the baglama (long-necked lute, melodic side instrument). These songs have a socio-philosophical as well as a socio-critical and religious-spiritual character in addition to their emotional level
